Today I wanted to talk about benefits. In this latest econony, benefits are on peoples’ minds alot more than they used to be. We always consider benefits when we go for a new job interview or what we can do on your own. But today I have good news for you. God already promises you the greastest benefits you could ever think or ask. In Psalms 103 He lists all his benefits. Everything from crowning you with loving kindness to healing ALL your diseases. In psalms 68 God says He daily loads us with His benefits. Everyday is a day filled with benefits you need. When I wrote our book “Standby To First Class” in the chapter called “The Bumblebee” we needed benefits in a big way. God knew our trouble and delivered us with His benefits. Let today be your day to receive God’s benefits. I promise you that His benefits will surpass the world’s and give you Peace and Joy in your life!
The Grocery List
I was watching an interview on a news channel, and they were talking to an family that said they are the cheapest family in American. Father and mother were explaining how you can make your grocery list and save hundreds of dollars a month by cutting down on things you really don’t need, buy in bulk when available, and check all in season fruits and vegetables when necessary. All in all it is Americans that will have to cut our budget to compensate for the downturn and out of control spending from our government.
I listened very intently and realized how americans have lost control of their government. Our lives have become subservient to the entitlement programs that the politicians have put into place. Political correctness has rendered us ineffective. The control of government has launched into a takeover of all our inalienable rights as citizens of the greatest country the world has ever know. No other nation has forged industry and technology that has changed a world as the United States. No other country has changed how everyone communicates with the rest of the world except the United States. No other country has had the freedom to explore all the possibilities except the United States, until now. Our people have lost the reason why we have this country.
The founding fathers drafted a great document to show us the way incase we get lost and gives the direction to continue on and tells us that God is the foundation for greatness. When Americans start looking to an individual for their very existence, we will lose our sovereignty as a nation. Men in an elected office are not your answer to all the problems of this world. As we now see, man does not have the answer to heal this nation, but God does. He tells us to look towards him and walk in his ways, then he will heal the land. If I could give our government a grocery list it would be:
1. Put the Ten commandments back in the schools.
2. All laws passed by our elected officials will be applied to all Americans, no exceptions.
3. Our nation, under God, is our foundation for all governing bodies especially our judges.
4. Politicians that spend American monies use careful consideration as to the outcome of the expenditure. Our wasteful spending has bankrupted the accounts of every American.
5. Remember what the foundation was all about. Honor God, give to government what is due, and live your lives with honor and love so that all men will be free.
We are at a precipice for changing the very nature of how the government will handle this next century. May we all look into our hearts and turn around the fast pace of living for ourselves and remember the calling of all men. Jesus is the foundation and the cornerstone of this nation. Let’s get back to that way and then our nation will be healed. November is just a few short weeks away. “My people perish for lack of knowledge.” American, wake up!
The Psycology of “taxacology”
There is a definite psychology to the taxing party at work today. I am referring to the Congress, controlled by the Democrats and the White House. The president told a town meeting crowd that, “ I can’t give the middle class a tax cut.” What he is really saying is that the Bush tax rates that have been in force for the middle class for nine years will not be extended. This is erroneously called a tax cut. However, the cuts are already in place. You can’t give somebody something they already have. Considering that the president cannot give you anything, this means that Congress will not vote to extend the Bush tax cuts. Before the first of October, some of the “free” healthcare components will go into effect. The White House is expecting to hire 16,000 new IRS agents to administer the tax penalties which the public will be forced to pay if they don’t bow to the new healthcare law. If you think the 2300 health care bill is a monstrosity wait until you see the 42oo volume pages of regulations that apply to that bill.
While you weren’t looking , the moratorium in the Gulf of Mexico drilling ban has been outsourced to Mexico. The minerals management branch has given Mexico $20 billion so that they can drill in the Gulf. The interior department has reorganized the minerals management branch into three branches. Can you imagine all the bureaucratic jobs that will come available as these proceed? It will also guarantee enough paper and red tape that will make it almost impossible for American companies to drill in the Gulf of Mexico. So basically your government will not allow drilling in the Gulf because of the environment, but will allow another country to drill our oil for us and we will pay them for our oil. Wonderful!!!
American, once again we have been hijacked by the big spenders in Washington. The jobs that have been created will be in the IRS to police your tax dollars to pay for your “Free” health care and pay for oil we already have available. Wake up, America. What is True Freedom
What is true freedom?
I recently read an article from an interview in Houston with an illegal alien. He said that all illegal aliens have the right to be here and to take advantage of all the government has to offer in benefits. He claims that this is really their country that we stole from Mexico. They have the right and freedom to speak Spanish, and live here and take all that they can. This is their right to freedom.
The Declaration of Independence declares that all men have the right to pursue happiness and have inalienable rights. Illegal immigrants declare that they have rights and have the right to freedom in this country. They pursue the freedom of having all the benefits that the taxpayers offer delegated by the government. Muslims declare their right to worship freely in this country, and pursue the violent means to achieve this.
Where does this put the American Christian? The salvation of Jesus Christ gives us the true freedom that can only come from God. The cross validated our right to the freedom. The freedom to the blessing, the freedom of having love in us and giving love to others, the freedom to celebrate the Kings of King and Lord of Lords. Men walk in bondage to society’s way of doing things. Only through Jesus are we made righteous and it is his blood that cleanses us of all unrighteousness. As a Christian we live to a higher power and calling toward our Deity, in which we call Abba father. The only true freedom is through Jesus. Without that man is only a slave to the unrighteousness in his soul. Paul tells us this in Romans Chapter 3:24,”Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”
Who the Son sets free is free indeed!
A True Love Affair with Jesus
I was shopping with all the back to school merchandise and noticed all the vampires, bloody fang shirts, werewolf’s clothing etc… and realized how much our young people are desensitized about their own spiritualism. The dark force that surrounds this “fad” is not to be taken lightly. Our children are under attack in such subtle ways, that parents should be extremely careful what they are purchasing. Remember, what you see and hear are printed on your heart and will come to the surface. Now is not the time to “play” with the dark side of life. This vampire attraction is cleverly packaged by appealing to one’s sense of romance by portraying an evil force, vampires, in love with a mortal. Evil has come to kill, steal and destroy and is a twisted version of the blood covenant that we have with Jesus. He came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. We know what Satan came to do. Our teenagers are being duped by replacing a love affair with God to a vampire or a werewolf. Replacing what is missing in their lives at home. Teenagers are in transition from a parental love to peer love that opens them up to the world’s expectations. Physical attractions invoke emotional desires that are being fueled by a relationship with a vampire instead of a real relationship with Jesus. They are attracted to Hollywood’s ideology of how they perceive what love is or a physical relationship instead having the true relationship with God the father of Love. I posted a comment about this on my facebook and received one “like”comment. When the Twlight Saga movie ad was posted there was 578 likes posted. Where are our priorities? As an author of a Christian book, “Stand By To First Class”, the urgency is made quite evident to save our children and take an active stance in telling the world that God loves them, not vampires. The next generation is facing an undaunted foe. We must take action now and take authority for our children’s sake. Remember “My people perish for lack of knowledge.”Parents, pay attention!
Random Thoughts
My father called me to tell me about some statistics about the oil business and related the latest onset from the interior department. A federal judge recently ruled that the Obama moratorium on drilling in the Gulf of Mexico was deemed unconstitutional. They are still defying a court order. It has not come to light that the Minerals Management Service arm of the Interior Department calculated that 20,000 to 30,000 jobs would be lost in the Gulf if this moratorium continues. Memos to the Interior Secretary expressed this concern. No matter, they are going ahead anyway. I dare say that if these were union jobs, a great deal of thrashing around by the media and others in the White House officials would be on everybody’s list of “to do’s.” As we all still enjoy gassing up our cars to drive anywhere, I hope all remember where the oil comes from and why the exploration is disappearing. BAKKEN, ANYONE?
My blog about our book, “Standby to First Class” has been temporarily put on hold so I can bring you knowledge about our energy production. The shape of energy in our country continues with some startling news for most every American that uses gas for their cars. The environmentalists only want us to use “Green Energy” as the source of preference. However, the environmental impact of trying to manage hugh solar panels or wind farms create its own environmental problems, not to mention the backup system that has to be installed. The Chevrolet “Volt” affectionately known as the Electric lemon gets only forty miles of battery charge after our government spent $150 million on the Korean company that makes the batteries for Volt. So much for American jobs! This is, by the way, taxpayer money. Natural gas is still one of the cleanest fuels around to generate electricity.
There is a place far, far away that most Americans don’t even think about unless you live nearby and that is the Williston Basin. Never heard of it?? The basin is located in eastern Montana , western North Dakota, parts of southern Canada, and parts of South Dakota. This basin has produced some startling results. The oil and gas contained is known as the Bakken Shale Formation. The presence of oil and gas in the Baaken has been known for many years. Extracting in commercial quantities until recently was so far impossible. The recent developments with new drilling and completion techniques over a wide area in the Williston Basin has demonstrated probable reserves of oil estimated to be 500 billion to a trillion barrels of oil. So all you naysayers pontificating about the lack of known oil and gas reserves in this country, remember the Bakken Shale Basin.
At this moment it is replacing what we are losing in the Gulf of Mexico with this stupid moratorium. The interesting part of this story, most in the land involved is owned by ranchers and others, not by the government. This makes development relative simple and straight forward.
Natural gas is still one of the cleanest fuels around to generate electricity. Remember the sun does not always shine, nor does the wind always blow, but the oil will always flow! Think about this the next time you use your car to go the store, or drop your kids off to school, or go to work. How many bicycles do you see on the road going to work??

Words…
I received a letter from a gentleman who read our book and commented on three things he gleaned from the story. 1: the power of prayer, 2: medical community, 3: the advancement through the organ transplant program. The question put to me was, out of all three, what was the most significant to us? My answer is the power of prayer through our words. In our walk, Bruce and I learned the importance of saying right words, instead of always talking the problem. In daily activities we are bombarded with circumstances that give choices to talk the problem all the time. In the Epilogue of our book, I talk about Yom Kippur, the Jewish time of atonement. God gives the Jewish people one day to atone for all the things they did wrong and make amends including their evil speaking. Your words have power. You speak your future today by what you say. If God used words to create, don’t you think he gave us the same power? If your circumstances are not what you wanted in your life, check out how you have been talking. Maybe it is time you changed what you say and start talking the answer instead of the problem. “Standby To First Class” is a book that was written because we changed our attitude and our words. God is always trying to get something to you, and it is always good!
The “Alternative Energy?”
I had to continue my blog about our energy and and will return to my book, “Standby to First Class” later.The Senate is a masking a hugh energy bill lead by Senator Kerry that has a lot of juicy taxes for the federal government, of which we will all have to pay. Kerry along with all the other Washington insiders does not like to pay taxes personally. On a funny note, The Senator did not like Massachusetts tax policy on his new boat, so he moved it to Rhode Island. He is still trying to get some form of energy bill through the Senate without much success.
Along with all the new taxes we will pay in the energy bill, there are more subsidies for alternative “green” energy. As an example, there is a bio fuel program in Lee County, Florida that received a grant of $500,000 i.e. “tax payer money” for this project. According to the local paper, a year has passed and they still have not obtained the necessary permits from the multi-faceted federal bureaucracy. A year of mountains of paperwork and construction has not been started.
On another front, we see there have been some ridiculous developments in other parts of the alternative energy front. A town in Minnesota paid $350,000 for a wind turbine to supply the city with power. Due to the extremely cold weather last winter the turbine froze and was unusable all winter. They should have asked Spain advice before they spent their money. The Spaniards discovered last year that wind energy is not the answer for electric power. They discovered you need a backup system to provide energy for when the wind doesn’t blow. They further discovered that they were losing over two jobs for every one job that they created in their projects.
In our own backyard, T.Boone Pickens discovered that he needed a backup system for his big wind farm in Texas. He was unsuccessful getting the necessary permits to build a new hydrocarbon or backup generating system. Some of the windmills are operational however, his project has not gone into full development.
Always remember, that the government does not produce energy or create jobs. As matter of fact it is not the government’s position to “create jobs”. They have only succeeded in creating a monstrous economic problem for the country. We spend $500,000 billion or more a year to import the oil and gas we need to run our economy. The sad part is we don’t need to spend this money. We have the resources in our own country if the government did not stop the production of that resource by private industry.

Stand By To First Class
I have been blogging about the oil spill and will have more on that but today I wanted to get back to the book, Stand By to First Class. Our church has been having a revival and more and more people are coming to renew, readjust their lives to fit God. One thing we talk about in the book is that you don’t have to be some great scholar of the word. You don’t have to be “religious”. You just have to know that God is good and God is always trying to get something good to you. Bruce and I were just two ordinary people who had been given a bad report about his health. We chose to believe God and have life instead of death. If you are all alone or think there is no way God will help you, read our book. God will change your life and it will be for the good. Take a chance on God. Don’t be just a mediocre christian. Lift your thinking and become a full believer. We did and God answered!!
